Being held to the highest standard in our industry, SJCT employees are expected to uphold our core values: we’re here to support our community and ensure that EVERY person feels equal and welcome in our gathering space.
St. Joe Community Taproom Harassment & Discrimination Policy
St. Joe Community Taproom is committed to the prevention and eradication of workplace harassment in absolutely all forms. Harassment is unethical, against the law, and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Harassment is unwelcome behavior that embarrasses, demeans or humiliates another, which any reasonable person would recognize as unwelcome. Harassment can take the form of actions (e.g. touching), displays (e.g. a meme or picture), and comments (e.g. teasing, joking).
Employees experiencing harassment should notify the owner, a manager, or a supervisor, or anyone they may feel most comfortable with, immediately and without any expectation of retaliation or negative consequences.
All parties involved in a harassment claim will be informed of their responsibilities and the outcomes that violation of our policy incurs.
General Principles:
Harassment Complaints:
Harassment complaints are taken very seriously by SJCT. Victims of harassment are encouraged to speak with someone they feel comfortable with to begin the process of a harassment investigation. Harassment victims or witnesses will be treated with the utmost respect and discretion during and after a harassment incident, and will never be retaliated against for reporting harassment or suspected harassment.
Non-Compliance:
Violations of this policy will be subject to
• Temporary leave
• Disciplinary action
• Termination of employment
• Legal action
At St. Joe Community Taproom, we're committed to providing a welcoming and safe space for ALL. As such, this code of conduct is not just limited to our employees. It is extended to any partners, vendors, suppliers, organizations, companies, etc that we conduct any business with, as well as our customers and guests.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for any hateful or abusive speech or actions inside the taproom. If any guests engage in this type of behavior, they will immediately be asked to leave our establishment and possibly permanently barred from entering.
